This software allows to monitorize a shared or local printer in order to store in
a database all the prints each user sends.
The main purpose of the program is to prevent someone from exceeding the max pages number you have established in profile file. If this number is set to zero for some user,
that user cannot print: the program will delete all prints he will sends.
The program must be used by an administrator user from the local computer where
the printer is shared or from a remote computer by an user with admistrative
privileges on the shared printer.
This software can be used as normal program or, if installed in the printer
server, as system service in order to monitorize the
printer when no user has logged in.
From 1.2 version added an external component (checkPM.exe) that check if
the main program instance is running. This allows to avoid the missing monitoring
when the program crash. The main program check also if the checkPM instance is
running.
From 1.3 version, all printer error messages that can appears (e.g. "paperout
error", "offline printer error", etc.) are closed from the program to avoid any
interference on the monitoring process.
Systems supported are: Windows 2000, Windows XP or higher.
